CWE – Catalyst for Women Entrepreneurs
This GINSERV incubated startup is a one-stop-shop for women entrepreneurs to start up and scale up their business.
This GINSERV incubated Startup CWE is a not a not-for-profit trust founded by Sucharita Eashwar. And it’s a comprehensive platform that offers access to Information on government Programs and Schemes, Business Skills, Finance, Technology, Trade Networks, and validated professional Service Providers especially for women entrepreneurs. During her long Career, Sucharita has researched and noted many obstacles that come in the way of the women when they make up their mind to go the entrepreneurial way.
CWE is incubated with Global Incubation Services- which continuously provided Mentorship, space to grow and has helped to build our strong foundation, guided us to think in the right direction and eventually helped to execute it as the Quote says. “The Value of an Idea lies in the using of it”
When she was twelve and chastised by her mother for claiming to be equal to her brother’s. Sucharita’s choice for unconventional wisdom was needed. She realized early that women’s contribution to the economy is not recognized. She realized that, with more women being highly educated but not working in the mainstream economy, an ideal option for them was entrepreneurship, with the flexibility of time and start-up from home.
Sucharita has mentored and promoted women-led entrepreneurs over the last 6 years. Before she founded Catalyst for Women Entrepreneurship in 2016, Sucharita set up and headed WEConnect International in India- a US-based organization that connects women-owned businesses to market opportunities with transnational corporations.
Prior to this, she was Senior Director at NASSCOM. As Centre Head based in Bangalore, she led three special tasked to take the IT-BPO industry in India to global leadership. Sucharita started her career with communication agency Ogilvy and Mather and VOICES –focused on policy advocacy for equitable access to media and telecom. During 1992-1995, Sucharita led the campaign to introduce Community radio in India and South Asia and worked for setting up a Rural Development Fund for accelerating Universal telecom access. Her motto and message to the fledging women entrepreneurs are.
Think Big. Get started and you will succeed.
